Tax point value and dental tariff
You will immediately feel at ease in our familiar practice environment while our professional and competent team takes care of your dental health.
In our practice, the services rendered are usually billed according to the DENTOTAR® tariff. Please refer to the list below for the applied tax point values. We reserve the right to apply tariff structures that deviate from the DENTOTAR® tariff for individual services.
The dental tariff includes more than 500 individual services, with a certain number of tax points assigned to each service. The number of tax points is multiplied by the tax point value to determine the price of the individual service.
Depending on the level of difficulty, the tax point value for private patients can be adjusted within a certain framework.
When does the statutory health insurance cover the costs?
According to Article 31 of the Federal Health Insurance Act (KVG), dental treatments are only covered by the health insurance if they:
There are only a few, mostly serious diseases in the oral and maxillofacial region whose treatment is covered by the statutory social insurance, such as:
In our practice we charge for dental services as follows:
CHF 1.20: Tax point value for private patients
CHF 1.00: Tax point value for children up to 14 years of age
CHF 1.00: Tax point value for accident, military and disability insurance (UVG/MVG/IVG)
The DENTOTAR® framework tariff for private patients adapts to both the individual needs of patients (urgency, comfort and aesthetic requirements) and the specific circumstances of the practice (infrastructure costs, wage costs, etc.).
Dental technical work, such as the fabrication of crowns, bridges or dentures, is not included in the dental tariff and is billed separately. The dentist receives the service invoice directly from the dental technician and invoices it to the patient unchanged. In this way, we ensure a transparent and comprehensible cost structure that enables our patients to better estimate and plan their treatment costs.
